A small group of youth from the Grayson County Middle School have been awarded a grant to build and complete a “Spruce Up Station” at the Taylor Fork Trail. Inspired by the “Little Free Libraries” and food pantries located in numerous areas around the community, the Spruce Up Station will be stocked by community members with disposable gloves, bags and other items that will encourage trail users to keep their trail and community clean! Come celebrate the installation of their “Spruce Up Station” Wednesday, May 2nd at 3pm at the Taylor Fork Trail and support these student’s desires to improve their community and help promote a litter-free Leitchfield! To further show your support, please consider bringing a donation of disposable gloves and/or small trash bags to ensure the station stays stocked. Donations of light refreshments or small “thank you” gifts for the children are also needed.
