Small Appliance Seminar & Demonstration

March 12, 2018 @ 5:30 pm

Two of the hottest new products in food preparation in the kitchen are the Air Fryer and the Instant Pot.  Both geared toward helping you save time, cut down on fat and calories, and provide greater nutritional value.

Instant Pot is 6-in-1 multi-functional cooker (pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, warmer & can be used to sauté & brown).  Speeds up cooking time 2-6x faster, using 70% less energy, produces healthier foods. The Air Fryer allows user ability to prepare variety of dishes with little or no oil by circulating hot air evenly around food.  Uniform cooking to give fried taste without added fat and calories of oil.

The Grayson County Extension Office will host a Small Appliance Seminar and Demonstration Monday, March 12th at 5:30 p.m., and be taught by Natalie Taul, Grayson County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences.  Get a first-hand look at how both of these appliances are operated, and taste the foods that are cooked in them.  Participants will take home new recipes and an information packet. The class is free but you must register in advance by calling the Extension Office at (270) 259-3492. Class size is limited.
