The Grayson County Extension Office is having open registration for Sewing Classes for youth ages 9-18, which will teach beginning sewing. The classes are free and geared for youth that want to learn to sew and have never used a sewing machine, but those with experience and wishing to learn more, are welcome to join. Sewing machines will be provided. Sign-ups are currently being taken at the Extension Office and you should call (270) 259-3492 to pre-register. An informational meeting will be held for parents and youth on Saturday, August 24th at 10:30 a.m. and those that are registered should plan to attend. For those that cannot attend the sign-up, enrollment by phone will be accepted through the deadline of Wednesday, August 21st. Class size is limited to 10 youth. The class will meet on Saturday’s from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon beginning September 14th. Instructor is Kentucky Certified Master Clothing Volunteer, Barbara Stiles. You should park in the back of the building and enter in the West entrance door. This is the location for sign-ups and the weekly sewing classes.
