The Grayson County Extension Service will host a Private Applicator Pesticide Training on Thursday, February 14th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The training is for restricted and non-restricted pesticides. The training is open to any person whose Private Pesticide Applicator card has expired, or will expire in 2019, or that needs a license to purchase pesticides for spraying fruits, vegetables or agriculture crops. Persons that are growing fruits and vegetables to sell, and are using a non-restricted pesticide, such as Sevin, are required to obtain a pesticide card. This requirement is for the protection of the producer and the consumer. Pesticide cards are valid for 3 years. Please call the Extension Office at (270) 259-3492 if you would like to register for this session. You should park in the back of the building and enter in the West entrance door.
