The Grayson County Extension Office is hosting another class series, “Healthy Farm Families”. This educational class series will provide useful, tangible tools and resources to help you and your family stay on top of your health on the farm. Meals in the Field is the first class in the series. Farmers and farm families often find themselves eating on the go, right there in the field. This can be a real challenge, and many folks will just go without eating or will reach for a less healthy alternative. Food safety is something that could be of concern as well. This program will provide you with ideas on how to make healthier options more convenient as well as how to ensure that the food you are consuming is safe. We will throw in some new recipe ideas and easy, on the go meals that will work for the whole family. All classes will be held at the Grayson County Extension Office at 5:00 p.m., CST, at their office at 64 Quarry Road in Leitchfield. Advanced registration is required by calling the Extension Office at (270) 259-3492 or on the website at www.graysonext.org on the link provided.
