A Farmer’s Market planning and organizational meeting will be held at the Grayson County Extension Office March 29th beginning at 9:00 a.m. for anyone interested in learning more about the 2018 Farmer’s Market, and is for new and past members. Topics on the agenda are location, hours, and voucher training. This will also include the Produce Best Management Practices Training (formerly GAP training). Every grower selling at the Market is required to be trained in 2018, so all past members should make plans to attend. Please RSVP for the lunch that is provided by calling (270) 259-3492. For questions or for more information about the selling requirements for various products at the Market, you may call Farmer’s Market Advisor, Whitney Carman, at the Grayson County Extension Office at the same number.
The Farmer’s Market is an outlet for Kentucky agriculture, horticulture and craft products, and is reserved for growers from Grayson County and six adjoining counties: Breckinridge, Hardin, Hart, Edmonson, Ohio, and Butler. Selling days for the Grayson County Farmer’s Market are Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at several different locations.
