The Grayson County Extension Office and the Breckinridge County Extension Office will host a 5-part Master Haymaker Course on aspects related to hay production. Extension Specialists will offer expert advice on topics such as soil fertility, warm season grasses, forage preservation, machinery and maintenance, and weed control.
There is a $30 fee for the series, which covers meals and materials, and space is limited to 30 participants. Advanced registration and payment of the fee is required and must be paid to the Breckinridge County Extension Office by February 14, 2020. February 25 – Dr. Ritchey – Evaluating Soils & Fertility in Hay Production. Held at the Breckinridge County Farmer’s Market Educational Facility.
March 10 – Dr. Teutsch – Warm Season Grasses. Held at Potter’s Hope Church (beside the Grayson County Extension Office).
March 24 – Clayton Geralds – Hay Machinery – Held at the Breckinridge County Farmer’s Market Educational Facility.
April 7 – Dr. Teutsch – Forage Preservation – Held at the Breckinridge County Farmer’s Market Educational Facility.
April 21 – Dr. Green – Weeds and Weed Control in Hay – Held at the Grayson County Extension Office.
