Ronnie Smith announces candidacy for 4th District Magistrate spot

Ronnie Smith has announced his candidacy for 4th District Magistrate in the May 2018 Republican Primary.

Smith said that as the business owner of Smith’s Cabinet Shop for over 20 years, and a lifelong Grayson County resident, he considers himself “fortunate to live and work here.”

He said that as a farmer, he backgrounds calves and raises grain crops. Smith worked at Vermont American for 19 years, and for 11 of those years he was the New Product Technician. Smith said he also served on various teams to help cost reduction within the company.

He is a member of First Baptist Church, in Leitchfield, where he has served as Deacon, in addition to serving on various teams.

Smith has been married to his wife Karen for 33 years. They have two daughters: Brittney, who is married and lives in Tennessee, and Shannon, a student at Thomas More College.
