Grayson County High School students who recently passed End of Program (EOP) assessments in their Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway earned a combined 375 college credit hours and saved $70,875 in tuition based on Kentucky Career and Technical College System rates.

“What a fantastic start to their postsecondary journey,” the school district exclaimed.

Not only are the students ahead of the game academically, they are also well ahead of their state counterparts, with a pass rate of nearly 70 percent for all EOP tests taken.

“GCHS pass rates exceeded state averages by five to 26 points in every tested area,” according to the school district.

Career and Technical Education End-of-Program (CTE EOP) Assessment for Articulated Credit is one measure of career readiness as a postsecondary readiness indicator for Kentucky’s accountability system, according to the Kentucky Department of Education. CTE EOP Assessments are state developed assessments based upon clear and concise standards identified by Kentucky employers, aligned with CTE career pathways and associated with statewide articulation agreements with postsecondary partners.
