
Two suspects were arrested after over eight pounds of methamphetamine were seized during a traffic stop on I-65 in Warren County.
The arrests came Tuesday morning at approximately 7:00 when the Warren County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on I-65 five miles south of Bowling Green.
During a search of the vehicle by the Bowling Green — Warren County Drug Task Force and Warren County deputies, police discovered 8.6 pounds of methamphetamine, two handguns (one reported stolen out of Nashville, Tennessee), 22 clonazepam pills, marijuana, and cash, according to the task force.
Police arrested 37-year-old Joshua S. Webster, of Bowling Green, and 41-year-old Todd A. Dooley, of Brooks.
Both suspects were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property (handgun), possession of a controlled substance (clonazepam), and possession of marijuana. Dooley was additionally charged with multiple non-moving violations.
Webster and Dooley were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
