A 69-year-old man has perished in an eastern Kentucky house fire.
The fire occurred on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of Barnes Mill Road in Richmond, according to the Madison Co. Sheriff’s Office. While firefighters were battling the blaze, they located Gregory Brackney inside the home.
He was transported to Baptist Health Richmond where he was pronounced deceased.
The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
No foul play is suspected, but the cause of death remains under investigation.
