Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a fugitive considered armed and dangerous.
Kentucky State Police on Wednesday was requested by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office to assist in locating a suspect, 45-year-old Jonathan Ruby, of White Plains (Hopkins Co.), who fled on foot after being involved in a physical altercation following a traffic accident.
“Ruby is considered armed and dangerous,” state police said.
He has, according to police, multiple felony warrants, including trafficking in a controlled substance, fleeing or evading police and parole violations.
Ruby is a white male standing six feet, one inch tall and weighing about 260 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes, and was last seen wearing camouflage pants, a red shirt and black jacket.
In addition to Kentucky State Police, the KSP Aircraft Branch and the KSP Commercial Motor Vehicle division, the Hopkins Co Sheriff’s Office is being assisted in the search by the Madisonville Police Department and Kentucky Fish & Wildlife.
