A woman has been arrested after killing her mother.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the shooting Friday night at 9:30 at a residence on Burnett Road, approximately seven miles southeast of London.
When police arrived at the scene, they found 50-year-old Carol Rich, of Corbin, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds from a 9mm handgun. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Rich’s daughter, 26-year-old Brianna Rich, for the murder of her mother.
Brianna Rich was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
Police said “the cause of the shooting has yet to be determined.”
