A man has been arrested after opening fire on five Hardin County residences.
The Radcliff Police Department arrested 24-year-old Dante T. Patterson, of Elizabethtown, on Saturday evening after the suspect went on a shooting spree on Saturday afternoon and early evening.
The Radcliff Police Department told The News-Enterprise that Patterson shot at homes and apartments on Skyline Court, Braxton Court, Park Avenue, Woodcreek Drive, and North Wilson Road.
A victim at a residence on Woodcreek Drive was shot in the leg. He was transported to a hospital.
Authorities discovered that Patterson, a felon who has been arrested 10 times in six years, crashed his vehicle, a GMC Terrain, while fleeing the shooting on Skyline Drive, The News-Enterprise reports.
Radcliff police found the damaged vehicle with Patterson inside on Edgewood Road, near the intersection of South Logsdon Parkway and West Lincoln Trail Boulevard.
Upon approaching the SUV, an armed Patterson fled on foot down an embankment. Police, though, captured the suspect without further incident.
He was charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree assault, and leaving the scene of an accident.
Additional charges are possible.
Patterson is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on two bonds totaling $750,000.
