Two Hart County man have been sentenced in federal court for conspiring to distribute deadly fentanyl.
The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky announced that 23-year-old Dominik Woods, of Bonnieville, was sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of conspiracy to distribute more than 40 grams (nearly 1.5 ounces) of fentanyl and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Conspiring with Woods to distribute fentanyl was 36-year-old Joshua Sanders, of Munfordville, who was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison after being convicted of conspiracy to traffic in fentanyl and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
There is no parole in the federal system.
Both men have been lodged in the Oldham County Detention Center since June 2024.
The case was investigated by the ATF, Kentucky State Police and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force.
