Glenual T. Gibson, age 67, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Glen was born on February 2, 1958, in Louisville, KY, to Cletus and Betty Gibson.

He was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Terrah Dawn (David) Waynick; his sister, Effie Christine (Randy) DeShazier; and his brothers, Cletus Ray
(Paula) Gibson, Michael (Mary Ann) Gibson, and Alvin (Christine) Gibson.

He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Teena Gay (Eric) Drake, Daniel Ray Gibson, Chadwick Ryan Gibson, Annie Nicole (Jonny) Button, Hannah Lee (Michael) Mitchell, Sarah Eugene (Daniel) Newton, ShaTerrah Dawn (Christopher) Cummins, Jessey Lee (Kevin) Fitzgerald, and Laura Lucille
Gibson; along with his 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Glen was a man of deep faith. Above all else, his greatest joy in life was being a father to his daughter, Terrah. Glen’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and service. Over the years, he touched the lives of thousands-performing weddings, baptisms, baby dedications, and offering counseling and guidance to those in need. He was a pastor, mentor, co-worker, and friend to many; his heart of gold will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

He was cherished as a favorite by all who knew him-favorite brother, favorite uncle, favorite nephew, favorite brother-in-law, and friend. His genuine, caring nature and unwavering dedication to others will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Going Home Service for Glenual will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Church of Joy, located at 100 High School Road, Leitchfield, KY.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. (CST), with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Bishop Danny St. Clair and Pastor Luke St, Clair will officiate, along with Master of Ceremonies, Pastor James and Sister Gayla Maroney and Family.

Following the service, family and friends will accompany Glenual to his final resting place at the Gibson Family Cemetery, 55 Gibson Cemetery Road, Clarkson, KY.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to those who have supported them during this time. Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, KY is assisting with arrangements.
