A man has died after crossing the center line and striking a tractor-trailer.
Troopers responded to the crash near the intersection of Springfield Road and Pottershop Loop in Bardstown at approximately 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The state police investigation revealed that 42-year-old Brian Tichenor, of Bardstown, was driving an Audi north on Springfield Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle then crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck head-on.
Tichenor was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Nelson Co. Coroner’s Office. The truck driver, 37-year-old Jared Pennick, of Columbia, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by KSP reconstructionist, Trooper Scott Wheatley.
