The highly anticipated second season of “The Sound of Small Town America” will kick off on March 8 at the historic Alice Theatre in Leitchfield.

“This inspirational country (music) talent search, which celebrates the voices and stories of rural America, promises an unforgettable evening of music, community and discovery. The winners are gifted the opportunity to perform in the finale on The Grand Ole Opry House stage,” the Inspirational Country Music Association (ICMA) said.

The season will be hosted by Owensboro native Steve Bridgmon, the current ICMA Male Vocalist of the Year, “and a celebrated artist known for his uplifting songs and dynamic stage presence,” the ICMA said.

This season’s lineup of judges features a distinguished panel of industry leaders:

  • Zachariah Smith, a fan favorite from American Idol, who wowed audiences nationwide with his powerhouse vocals and genuine storytelling.
  • Delnora Acuff, a gifted singer/songwriter celebrated for her rich artistry and connection to the heart of country music.
  • Bruce Hedrick, a multi-talented artist and industry veteran, renowned for his work in inspirational and country music.

The judges will evaluate contestants from small towns across the region, offering professional feedback and the opportunity to shine on a larger stage, according to the ICMA.

“The heart of this competition is discovering voices that echo the faith, perseverance and resilience that define small-town America,” Bridgmon said. “I’m honored to be part of a show that uplifts talent and inspires audiences with authentic stories.”

Tickets for the event will be available at the door.
