A Beaver Dam teenager has been charged with first-degree rape.

The Beaver Dam Police Department said officers were dispatched to a “possible domestic” disturbance in the 200 block of West 4th Street late Saturday night.

“Ohio County Central Dispatch received three 911 calls from a cell phone that was pinging in that area. All three calls were cut off before dispatch could ascertain what was actually going on,” police said.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with a female standing outside a residence.

“Officers determined that the woman had been sexually assaulted by 18-year-old Cesar O. Sanchez, of Beaver Dam,” according to Beaver Dam police.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center on a $20,000 cash bond.

The victim was transported to Ohio County Hospital for an evaluation.

The Hartford Police Department assisted in the investigation.

First-degree rape is a class B felony unless the victim is under 12-years-old or receives a serious physical injury, which elevates the charge to a class A felony, according to Kentucky Revised Statute 510.040.
