A Barren County man has been accused of raping a young girl two nights in a row.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded on Saturday to Jimeson Way, about two miles northeast of Glasgow, on the report of a seven-year-old girl being sexually assaulted, according to a report by WNKY.com.
While being interviewed by police, the victim accused 26-year-old Mark V. Hanks, of Glasgow, of raping and sodomizing her on the nights of January 20 and 21.
Hanks was arrested and charged with first-degree rape (victim under the age of 12) and first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12).
He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
