An Edmonson County High School student has been selected to receive the most prestigious scholarship WKU awards.
In total, 15 students are recipients of the 2025-2026 Cherry Presidential Scholarship. The scholarship is valued at $16,000 annually and worth $64,000 over a four-year period, according to WKU.
One of the 15 students to receive the scholarship is Benjamin Raymer, of Sweeden, a senior at Edmonson County. He plans to major in Mechanical Engineering at WKU’s Ogden College of Science.
To be eligible, students must boast at least a 3.8 unweighted high school GPA and a minimum composite score of 30 on the ACT (1360 SAT).
