Elbert Randall Miller, 93 of Crestwood passed away peacefully on Saturday January 11, 2025 at the Springs-Oldham Reserve. Randall was born and raised in Edmonson County, KY (Segal) to the late Elbert and Lena Miller.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Gloria Kinser Miller and his brother, Jerry Miller of Phoenix, AZ. They were faithful members of Portland Avenue Church of Christ, their lives reflected Christian character to everyone who knew them.
Randall graduated from Bowling Green Business College. He and Gloria moved to Louisville where Randall worked for P. Lorillard Company, Ford Motor Co. and eventually chose to settle into employment with E.I. DuPont where he retired. He also was a part-time realtor for Hudson Realty, along with his wife. After retirement, he enjoyed part-time work at Speed Art Museum. He loved his family and worked hard to provide for them.
Randall was an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed playing a variety of string instruments, the mandolin and fiddle. He enjoyed golf, gardening (his tomatoes were the best), fishing and playing cards (pedro). He was a skilled carpenter and handyman.
Randall is survived by two children: Brenda Miller Cagle (Michael) of Louisville and Mark Miller (Phyllis) of Brownsville; three grandchildren: Randy Cagle (Emily), Katie Cagle Gosselin (Jeff) and Johnathan Miller; four great grandchildren, Isaac Gosselin and Kai Gosselin, Margot Cagle and Rosie Cagle.
Visitation will be from 11:00am – 12:00pm (EST), Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243) with funeral service beginning at 12:00pm.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm (CST) Sunday at New Liberty Cemetery in Asphalt. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
