Anthony Lee “Tony” Swift, age 56, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (December 11, 2024) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on September 21, 1968 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Arvil and Doris Christine Ballard Swift.
He was the owner and operator of Premier Restorations and enjoyed hunting, target shooting, and collecting guns & old cars. A generous soul, Tony was always finding ways to grow, build and support his community. He was a proud member of the Grayson County Fair Board, and the Black Rock Mafia Car Club. He was a member of the Clinton Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Tracy Nugent Swift of Leitchfield; two sons whom he adored, Cody Lee Swift (Kristen) of Lexington, KY and Jacob Ryan Swift of Leitchfield; four brothers, Allan Swift (Pam) of Leitchfield, Andrew Swift (Ashley) of McDaniels, Dwayne Swift and James “Randy” Swift (Chelsea) both of Leitchfield; and a father and mother in law who loved him as their own, Dennis & Ada Nugent. A multitude of close friends, including his best friend, Brian Pierce of Elizabethtown, KY, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (December 19, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Mark Claypool will be officiating. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
