An elderly male has died in an ATV crash.
The Harlan County Coroner’s Office said the accident occurred Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:00 in Blair, between Harlan and Whitesburg.
The coroner’s office said the accident happened when 75-year-old Thomas E. Shepard lost control of his ATV while traveling up a hill, “causing the ATV to roll” on top of Shepard. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Harlan Co. Deputy Coroner Dale Halcomb.
Kentucky State Police is leading the investigation.
