A woman has perished in a camper fire in Lincoln County.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said firefighters responded to the blaze Thursday morning at approximately 3:45 at Redmond Mobile Home Park on Hwy 27.
“During the investigation, a female subject was determined to be deceased inside of the camper,” the sheriff’s office said.
A second occupant of the camper escaped without injury.
The woman’s body has been transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The fire remains under investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln County Coroner Farris Marcum.
