Douglas McArthur Vincent, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 23, 2024) at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 03, 1943 in Edmonson County, KY, the son of the late Milton and Delores VanMeter Vincent.
He worked as a Line Foreman for WRECC for more than 40 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, frying chicken and attending Bloomington General Baptist Church, where he was a devout member for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam Hayes (Bobby) of Leitchfield, KY; six grandchildren, Mathew Aaron Hayes (Jessica), Joshua Cody Hayes (Amelia), Jacob Douglas Vincent, Ashley Nicole Hack (Travis), Alyssa and Cory Vincent; seven great-grandchildren, Randy Lee, Camila Elena, Bailey Keith, Emma Lynn, Audrey Monroe, Ava Pearl & Vendon Riley; one brother, Kadon Vincent (Carolyn) of South, KY; two sisters, Shirley & Brenda Vincent of Bee Springs, KY. Several nieces, nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of more than 45 years, Linda Lee Harp Vincent; his son, Tony D. Vincent; and a sister Caroline “Tooter” Watt.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, (December 1, 2024) at the Bloomington General Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Bro. Douglas Edwards will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and at Bloomington General Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
