Beulah Charlene Richards, age 66, of Leitchfield, peacefully departed this life on November 21,
2024, surrounded by her loved ones at Baptist Health Hardin. The Grayson County native was
born on December 27, 1957, to the late Doris and Charles Edwards Richards, Sr.

Charlene was a proud graduate of Grayson County High School and furthered her education with
an associate’s degree from Elizabethtown Community College. She carried a steadfast work ethic
and a deep passion for her family throughout her life.

Charlene loved the Lord and was always thankful that her parents raised her in church singing. Her
fondest memories were family reunions where everyone sang their favorite gospel song, as well as
traveling to churches as a family and blessing their congregations. Whenever the Richards family
was together, there was singing and Charlene loved every minute of it.

She was the beloved mother of Christy Hayes, of Leitchfield, Garry “Bubby” Hayes Jr. (Amanda)
of Sonora, and Charlie Hayes of Leitchfield. Her grandchildren, Richie Harris, Ben Ritchie,
Makayla Hill, Isabelle, Garren, and Jaycie Hayes, Trever and JT Day, Sara and Angel Turner and
Landria Spencer, were her greatest joy, as were her cherished great-grandchildren; Mia. Jodi and
Ava.

She is also survived by her siblings, Debbie Williams (Bro. Cecil), Charles Richards Jr.
(Carolyn), Tommy Richards (Elizabeth), Mike Richards (Renee), Steve Richards (Tina), and a
special brother-in-law, Mike Ramsey. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Darlene Richards and Patty Richards Ramsey.

Charlene will be remembered for her warm smile, her generous spirit, and her unwavering love for
her family. She lived a life filled with compassion and humor, touching the hearts of all who knew
her.

Charlene’s legacy will live on in the lives of her family and the memories of those who were
fortunate enough to know her.

May she rest in peace.
