A truck driver has died after a deer that was struck by another vehicle collided with a semi-truck.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the crash on Thursday morning at approximately 5:50 on Hwy 70 in Taylor County.
The state police investigation showed that 62-year-old Larry Wicker, of Elkhorn, was traveling west in a Chevrolet Cavalier when he struck a deer. The deer was propelled airborne and struck an eastbound 2002 Freightliner tractor-trailer, being driven by 75-year-old Rocky Morrison, of Edmonton.
Morrison was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner. Wicker was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation by Troopers Trevor Sagrecy and Weston Sullivan.
