A Green County man has been sentenced after he drove impaired, ran a stop sign and struck a minivan, killing a Hodgenville woman and injuring several others.
Daniel Sidebottom, 23, of Greenville, pled guilty in September to vehicular homicide when under the Influence of alcohol, three counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, DUI, and possession of marijuana as well as traffic offenses, according to Kentucky State Police.
Kentucky State Police responded to the wreck on June 2, 2023, at the intersection of Hwy 61 and Hwy 323 in Summersville in Green County.
Durfee’s wife, 63-year-old Sandra L. Durfee, was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Ronald Durfee and four of his passengers were transported to a hospital by EMS.
Earlier this month, Sidebottom was sentenced to 13 years in prison in Green County Circuit Court, state police said.
