Hardin Co. man found with video files containing sex acts by children

A Hardin County man has been arrested after police found nearly 20 files containing videos of children engaging in sex acts.

Michael T. Konrad, 27, of Elizabethtown, was arrested by Kentucky State Police after the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office executed a search warrant at Conrad’s Lee Road residence, according to The News-Enterprise.

During a search of the home, police found two video files depicting children that appeared to be under the age of 12 engaged in sex acts. Also discovered were 14 files containing videos depicting children believed to be older than 12 but younger than 18 engaging in sex acts.

Konrad was charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victims younger than 18, older than 12) and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victims younger than 12).

He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
