A collision with a deer on I-65 has killed one man and injured a Hardin County man.

The accident happened Sunday morning at approximately 2:00 at the 25-miler marker of I-65 in Warren County.

The Kentucky State Police investigation showed that 26-year-old Alex Bailey, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, was traveling north in a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox “when a deer entered his path causing him to hit his breaks before colliding with the deer.”

The Equinox was then rear-ended by a 1999 Ford motorhome, being driven by 54-year-old Bruce Hutchins, of Radcliff, causing Bailey’s vehicle to leave the roadway.

Bailey was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office. Hutchins was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green with unknown injuries.
