A Hart County man has died in a logging accident in Bullitt County.
Bullitt County Sheriff Walt Sholar told WAVE.com that deputies responded to the accident in a “wooded area near Mt. Elmira Road,” approximately five miles northwest of Shepherdsville, on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:15.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered a deceased 62-year-old man who had been operating a skidder (used to move cut trees) as part of a logging operation.
While the name of the victim has not been released, police said the man is from the Cub Run area.
