Over 100 Grayson County High School students saved thousands of dollars in college tuition money by passing one or more Advanced Placement classes.

“GCHS Advanced Placement classes are on the rise and so are test scores,” the school district said. “This year, 107 students passed one or more AP tests to earn college credit …”

The district said the students saved $60,669 in tuition costs, based on Kentucky Community & Technical College System rates.

“They’ve also earned money they can use now or later for college expenses,” according to the district. “Advanced Placement Kentucky representatives presented the group with a ceremonial check for $12,500, representing the total amount that will be distributed to them based on the number of tests taken and passed.”
