Hilbert Earl Woosley, age 76, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (October 22, 2024) at
Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. He was born on June 13, 1948 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Hilbert and Betty Parks Woosley.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a retired postal service worker. He enjoyed collecting antiques, cars and tractors. A family man, he enjoyed farming, travelling, and loved to fish with his grandkids. He was a member and elder of Caneyville Christian Church which he dearly loved.
He is survived by his spouse, Brenda Woosley of Caneyville; four sons, Chris Woosley (Libby) of Harned, Jeremy Woosley (Lori) of Clarkson, Jason Woosley (Anna) of Caneyville, and Chad Woosley (Joanie) of Anneta; one daughter, Heather Woosley of Leitchfield; 13 grandchildren, Derrick Whitworth, Shawn Woosley (Brittany), Cody Woosley (Addie), Cameron Decker (Kelsey), Brett Woosley, Montana Dotson(Blake), Dustin Earl Woosley (Kandler), Hailey Woosley (Elliot), McKenna Woosley, Brenton Woosley, Lee Cain, Payton Woosley, and Alexis Cain; five great-grandchildren, Preston Henderson, Zachary Evans, Cirice Whitworth, Cora Decker and Sable Dotson; one brother, Donald Woosley (Beverly) of Lake Palside; and one sister, Janet Shartzer (Jerry) of Duff. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (October 29, 2024) at the Caneyville Christian Church in Caneyville. Bro. David Brown and Bro. Kirk Scott will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Caneyville Christian Church from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
