Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) hosts its annual Spooktacular on Monday.
A Halloween tradition started in 2012 continues from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT on Monday as ECTC welcomes the community for trick-or-treating across the Elizabethtown campus.
“This is the college’s largest community event of the year, and everyone at ECTC looks forward to it,” said Associate Financial Aid Director Tracy Tollefson, who leads the Spooktacular planning committee. “This is one way we give back and make the people of our community feel welcome on our campus. It’s a great way to enjoy Halloween in a family-friendly indoor environment.”
With halls, offices, classrooms, and labs decorated in various Halloween themes, ECTC employees will pass out candy in most buildings on campus. Visitors can enjoy games, photo opportunities, free ice cream and cotton candy and more. Food also will be for sale in the culinary arts department.
Spooktacular includes dozens of activities and/or candy stops with at least one stop in the following buildings: Occupational Technical Building, Regional Postsecondary Center, Academic Technical Building, Science Building, James S. Owen Building, Student Center and Learning Resource Center/Collier Library.
Maps will be provided at the event.
