A northern Kentucky teenager has been arrested for killing his grandmother.

The Erlanger and Independence Police Departments were dispatched Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 to a residence in the 100 block of Ridgeway Drive in Erlanger on the report of an “active assault,” according to Erlanger police.

Upon arriving at the home, officers discovered 74-year-old Cheri Oliver suffering from head trauma. She was transported to a Cincinnati hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Oliver’s grandson, 18-year-old Wyatt J. Testerman, was located and arrested outside the residence.

“It was determined that the incident was a dispute between family members,” Erlanger police said.

Testerman was charged with domestic violence murder and lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond.
