Leah Ann Basham, age 53 of Leitchfield, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born on November 7,1970, in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of the late David, Sr. and Ruth Iglehert Allgood.
Leah was a member of Calvert Community Church. She absolutely adored her grandbabies and enjoyed her family time, especially holidays. Always willing to help anyone, even though she was always very straight forward with anyone she met. She loved the color green and tree frogs. In her free time, she enjoyed barrel racing horses. She always had open arms for all of her children’s friends.
Left to honor Leah’s memory are her husband of 21 years, Wesley Basham; five children, Hunter Basham (Natea), Carrie McCord (Josh), Brittany Long (Justin), John Michael Childress and Sophia Morin; seven grandchildren, Triniti Towne, Olivia McCord, Abigail McCord, Raelynn Basham, Larissa McCord, Nevaeh Schmidt and Jeremiah Long; two sisters, Amanda Litch (Trevor) and Jennifer DeMott (Kurt); two brothers, David Allgood (Kelly) and Jason Allgood (Jennifer); several nieces and nephews; and the addition of her step-mother and friend, Melissa Allgood (James) and her step-father, Ron Staples.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Baby David.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Calvert Community Church with Bro. Jerry Poteet and Virgil Baumgarten officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until service time on Saturday at the church.
