The Louis B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame is adding a former Ohio County teacher to its acclaimed ranks this year.

Arthur C. Hale, who taught science and math at Ohio County High School for 54 years, will be inducted into the 16th class of the Teacher Hall of Fame.

Linda Kingsley, who taught English at Owensboro High School for 29 years will also be inducted into the Teacher Hall of Fame. She continues to serve as a substitute teacher for Owensboro Public Schools.

“These distinguished individuals, selected by a statewide committee, will be formally inducted during the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony at Western Kentucky University on Friday, November 22,” the hall of fame said.

The Governor Louie B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame was established in 2000 through a gift from former Gov. Nunn, and is aimed at honoring the essential contributions of Kentucky’s classroom teachers and their positive impact on the state’s economy.

WKU was chosen as its home due to its century-long legacy in teacher education. Learn more at https://www.wku.edu/kythf/.
