Kentucky Fish & Wildlife is investigating after a man died during an apparent hunting accident.
Fish & Wildlife officials said on Thursday in a social media post that game wardens “are investigating a hunting incident in Elliott Co. that resulted in the death of a 71-year-old man.”
Based on the preliminary investigation, officials said it appears the victim fell from a tree stand he was hunting from. The victim was found by his hunting partner after he did not return from a late afternoon hunt.
The investigation is ongoing.
