Man arrested after threatening police with firearms during domestic incident in Hart Co.

A Hart County man is facing felony charges after allegedly pointing a gun at people and threatening police during a domestic incident.

Kentucky State Police, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office and Cave City Police Department responded Sunday morning at approximately 1:10 to a residence in Horse Cave to the report of a man, 51-year-old Donnie Prescott, of Munfordville, pointing a firearm at other people in the home, according to a report by WNKY.com.

Upon law enforcement arriving, they found Prescott brandishing two firearms, while threatening police. Prescott was taken to the ground by officers and pepper sprayed as he resisted arrest.

After being taken into custody, the suspect was transported to The Medical Center at Caverna for treatment. Following his release, Prescott was lodged in the Hart County Jail where he’s charged with first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, second-degree terroristic threatening, menacing, and fourth-degree assault (dating violence).

He’s being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
