Christopher Robert Burnette, age 49, of Owensboro, passed away, Monday, September 9, 2024, at the University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born June 5, 1975, in Ohio County, KY, to the late Wavey Buck and Jackie L. Calloway Burnette. He was a former sawmill worker; a proud father and grandfather and enjoyed taking walks. His last act of kindness was donating his organs to save lives.
Christopher is survived by a son, Jacob Burnette (Allison Godsey); two daughters, Christina Smith (Bobby) and Haley Burnette; a sister, Jenice Brown; his significant other, Benita Hagan; an uncle, Kirby Calloway; five grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 6 PM (CT), Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Watkins Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Carter officiating.
Visitation will be after 12 Noon, Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home.
