The identity of the person killed in an Edmonson County shooting has been released.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the shooting Monday evening at approximately 7:30 at 80 Timberwood Drive, about eight miles south of Brownsville. Upon arriving, troopers found 43-year-old Christopher W. Helson, of Smiths Grove, deceased, according to state police.
As K105 reported Tuesday morning, a juvenile was “involved in (the) shooting,” according to a source.
No other details have been released.
This marks the second fatal shooting in just over two weeks after 18-year-old Damien Worrel allegedly shot and killed 83-year-old Ernest Cline at a home on The Bridge Road on August 25.
