Police are looking for the person who broke into a Subway twice and left his cellphone at the scene of the crime.

The Corbin Police Department is searching for Timothy Randolph after the suspect broke into a Subway restaurant at approximately 2:00 a.m. on July 31.

It’s thought that Randolph, once inside the restaurant, climbed into the ceiling to disconnect surveillance cameras. As he did this, he left his cellphone behind.

Randolph came back 90 minutes later, presumably to find his cellphone. After having no luck, he made a sandwich and exited the premise.

“You can’t make this stuff up. It had to be drug-related. I can’t imagine anyone in their right state of mind, leaving their cellphone, to begin with, then when they came back and couldn’t find it, they decided to make a sandwich,” said Corbin PD Det. Robbie Hodge told WKYT.com.

Police said Randolph has previously visited homeless camps in the Corbin area. Once captured, he likely faces a third-degree burglary charge.

No photo of the suspect was available.
