A reckless driver led police on a pursuit that ended in Ohio County.

Kentucky State Police said troopers were informed Monday night at 6:00 of a reckless driver traveling in a Dodge truck on I-165 just south of Owensboro.

A stationary trooper on I-165 observed the speeding truck and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the truck, being driven by 48-year-old George M. Scott, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, fled police.

The truck exited I-165 onto the Hwy 60 bypass near Owensboro before turning east onto Hwy 54. The truck continued on Hwy 54 then to Ditto Road and Little Hickory Road when other troopers joined the chase.

Scott was eventually stopped and arrested in Ohio County, state police said.

He was charged with DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), speeding 26 mph or more over the limit, and disregarding a stop sign along with other traffic and non-moving violations.

He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
