A man has fatally stabbed his stepfather after the decedent allegedly assaulted the man’s mother.
Laurel County Sheriff John Root said deputies responded Friday night at approximately 10:50 to a home on Gail Avenue, about a mile-and-a-half west of London, on the report of a stabbing.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found that the stepfather, 37-year-old Kaney H. Hoskins, and his stepson became involved in a domestic dispute after Hoskins assaulted his stepson’s mother. During the dispute, the stepson, who has not been identified, stabbed Hoskins once in the chest.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Root said the case will be presented to a Laurel County Grand Jury for its consideration.
