Drug residue and Narcan were found next to a playpen and bassinet in eight-month-old Miya Rudd’s Reynolds Station home.

A Kentucky State Police detective testified in court in Ohio County earlier this week that a bag containing methamphetamine residue, as well as Narcan, an opioid overdose reversal agent, were found in Miya’s bedroom in the same residence where her body was presumably found last week.

(Ohio Co. Coroner Elvis Doolin is awaiting test results to positively identify Miya’s remains.)

Court testimony also revealed what is presumed to be Miya’s body was found “decomposing” in an Adidas duffel bag in the front room of the house, according to the Herald-Leader.

Everyone who lived at Miya’s home on Deanfield Church Road at the time of her disappearance in late April, including her parents, 29-year-old Tesla Tucker and 30-year-old Cage C. Rudd; paternal grandfather, 56-year-old Ricky J. Smith; and 28-year-old Brodie Payne, have been charged with abuse of a corpse, failure to report a death and tampering with physical evidence.

All four additionally face a laundry list of drug charges, while Tucker, Cage Rudd and Smith have been charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child (victim under the age of 12).

The state was in the process of removing Miya from the home after her umbilical cord tested positive for methamphetamine. It’s unclear why that process was taking so long to complete.

Miya’s maternal grandparents, 50-year-old Taletha and 53-year-old David M. Tucker, who were previously granted custody of Tesla Tucker’s three other children by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, were arrested on warrants at their home Leitchfield Road in Owensboro.

Taletha Tucker was served with an out-of-state fugitive warrant while her husband was arrested for non-payment of fines.
