The woman killed in a crash in Elizabethtown on Sunday has been identified.

Jessica L. Mills, 37, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday morning after another driver “failed to stop” as Mills turned onto the Lincoln Parkway.

Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman, Officer John Thomas, told The News-Enterprise that police responded to the crash at the intersection of Sportsman Lake Road and Lincoln Parkway Sunday morning at approximately 11:00.

Investigators determined the crash occurred when a Toyota RAV4, being driven by 45-year-old Jamie Argila, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was traveling west on the parkway when he “failed to stop” for a Toyota Highlander, being driven by Mills, who was turning left from Sportsman Lake Road onto the parkway.

Mills was pronounced deceased at Baptist Health Hardin. Mills’ passenger, her daughter, Kayley Bradley, suffered minor injuries and has been released from a hospital, according to the Elizabethtown newspaper.

Argila was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he’s listed in stable condition.

The Elizabethtown PD’s Accident Reconstruction Team is leading the ongoing investigation.
