An allegedly highly intoxicated central Kentucky woman has been arrested after hitting a vehicle head-on with her two children in the car.

Jessica L. Goforth, 39, of Versailles, was jailed Saturday night when she struck another vehicle head-on and registered a .222 on a breath test — nearly four times the legal limit to drive — following the crash, according to WKYT.com.

She was given a breath test after police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Goforth, who was also unsteady on her feet. Police attempted to give the suspect a field sobriety test but she was unable to “follow directions,” WKYT.com reports.

Goforth’s two young children were in the vehicle at the time of the crash but they were uninjured.

She was arrested by the Versailles Police Department and charged with multiple counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, her third DUI (aggravating circumstances) and careless driving. Goforth is being held in the Woodford County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond.
