An elderly driver pulled into the path of a vehicle on Beaver Dam Road.

Thursday night at approximately 8:20, Grayson County Deputy Sean Fentress, Leitchfield Police Officer Wally Ritter, the Leitchfield Fire Department, and EMS responded to the 3200 block of Beaver Dam Road at the intersection of School House Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, police said a Chevrolet Traverse, being driven by a Leitchfield man in his 80s, was turning left off School House Road onto Beaver Dam Road when the vehicle crossed into the path of an eastbound Mazda3, being driven by a 26-year-old Grayson County woman.

Both drivers were transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Suspected drugs were found in plain view inside the Mazda. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office investigation is ongoing.
