A Hardin County man has been jailed after a shooting.
The Radcliff Police Department said officers responded to an apartment complex on Innovation Way, near Ft. Knox, on the report of shots fired at 1:15 Monday morning.
The male shooting victim was transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he underwent “emergency surgery,” according to Radcliff police. The News-Enterprise reports that the victim is 29-years-old.
Approximately 12 hours after the shooting, police arrested 39-year-old Napoleon S. Jones, of Radcliff, and charged him with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Law enforcement recovered the gun used in the shooting, Radcliff police said.
Jones is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $1 million cash bond.
